Recently, we asked our members to take a survey regarding the recent ruling by Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson in which he found Microsoft guilty of violating the Sherman Antitrust Act. Below are the responses to our survey.

Did Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson’s ruling in the Microsoft antitrust case surprise you?
First, we wanted to know whether our members were surprised by the ruling. This is what we found out:

* No, it’s pretty much what I expected all along—82%
* Yes, I thought Microsoft would prevail—18%

How might your plans to deploy Microsoft technology change as a result of the antitrust verdict?
Next, we wanted to know if the verdict would affect any of our members’ plans to deploy Microsoft technology. The results to the question are as follows:

* We’ll stick with what we have deployed and wait to see what the remedy phase brings—30%
